Kelvin Perry

Coming from a country passionate about sport, Kelvin has represented South Africa in triathlon, water polo, and surf life saving.  The training and commitment leading to these achievements has given him real life knowledge and understanding of how to keep injury free.

Although he has been involved in massage for over 10 years, he qualified in 2006 in holistic massage with the Cotswold Academy, and then in 2007 with the Active Health Group in Manchester with a Level 5 advanced diploma in sports therapy.  These qualifications have arming Kelvin with all the soft tissue techniques needed for effective deep tissue sports massage.

Kelvin belives in a holistic approach to treating injuries, and understands that he cannot work alone to do this, but requires the patient to participate in the process.  As such every treatment is tailored to the individual and no two treatments will be the same.

When he's not working, Kelvin enjoys swimming, cycling, and walking in the mountains.

Sophie Hunter

Sophie's interest in the human body and enthusiasm for helping those that had been injured led her initially to work as a physiotherapy assistant within an NHS and private Spinal Injuries Hospital.  as a result of this experience she chose to train as a Sports Therapist and Rehabilitator at the University of the West of England.  She gratuated in 2009 with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation and subsequently studied at the University of Bath (Team Bath) for her qualifications in Sports Massage Therapy.

In her career to date Sophie has worked with individuals of varying levels, from amateur athletes to those who represent England in their sport, as well as teams such as Bath Rugby Club and Bristol City Football Club. Her clinical interest lies with rehabilitation back to fitness, and ensuring that the causes of an injury are addressed, and not just the symptoms, thus preventing the injury occurring again.

Sophie's ultimate goal is to provide treatment and rehabilitation services to military personnel. At THE Medical she offers her clients a tailored approach to treatment based on her expertise and their specific goals.
